RideSafe was created as the charitable projects arm of SendaCar Ltd with one simple belief.
Why can’t we just… do it?
Too often, community projects begin with great ideas. Then turn into endless meetings and just become good intentions. But somewhere along the way, progress gets lost in red tape, process and the question of whose responsibility it is.
At RideSafe, we believe that if something can make a positive difference, the best place to start is by bringing the right people together and getting on with it.
That’s why RideSafe isn’t just about transport. It’s about community.
Everything we do is built around collaboration. Connecting businesses, charities, local organisations and individuals who all want to make a difference. Whether that’s helping a charity overcome transport barriers, creating safer journeys for vulnerable people or raising standards across the licensed transport industry, the principle remains the same: practical solutions that deliver real outcomes.
RideSafe exists because a group of people simply said, “Let’s make it happen.”
This initiative in Derby has been seeded by some incredible people from the local business community who believed in the idea from day one.
Yvonne Gorman from Essential Print Services has always looked for ways to help, rather than reasons why something can’t be done.
Ian Pownall from XYZ Sales Consultant constantly champions collaboration, reminding us that the strongest businesses are those that invest in the communities around them.
Chris Leafe from Glenrose Financial understands that success isn’t measured solely by profit, but by the positive impact a business can have on people’s lives.
Jaz Greer from 58i Community Hub lives and breathes community, bringing people together and proving that lasting change starts with local relationships.
And how could we not celebrate the person who believed in the idea from the very beginning? Amanda Ellse from Cosy Direct saw RideSafe for what it could become and has shown that Corporate Social Responsibility isn’t a box to tick—it’s an opportunity to use business as a genuine force for good.
These aren’t just supporters of RideSafe. They’re people who choose action over words.
RideSafe may have been launched by SendaCar Ltd, but it belongs to a much bigger idea: that businesses have the ability—and perhaps the responsibility—to do more than simply trade. They can solve problems, remove barriers and create opportunities.
Sometimes, making a difference really is as simple as asking one question:
“How can we make this happen?”
Because communities aren’t built on good intentions.
They’re built by people who are willing to get things done.
